Day 175: Phofulling Work

June 24th, 2011

My work shift occured in reverse order today, as I went to ThinkTogether Training before EH&S. I bused to UTC using the 201, and then used the 31 to get to my Mira Mesa Middle School Site (WAIGENHAIM!). Because it was the first time I was on the campus, I was super excited subsequently taking a picture for my blog. WILDCATS, JUST LIKE HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL <24. Training was okay as we met the principal and various other teachers teaching for the summer program. We finally finalized parts of the schedule and I realized I’m teaching film, math, and fulcrum (which I will be trained on tomorrow). On Monday I’m going to be teaching film for my first lesson ever. SUPER EXCITING, yet super nervous. I’m sure I’ll do well though. Afterwards, I departed the AM and PM crew, swearing to add them all on facebook (if I could find them).
Afterwards I used the 921 (waiting for 30 minutes before it finally came), and worked at EH&S, making a few deliveries for Beth. Afterwards I went to Price Center to use the computers and play Tetris; Tyler joined me, and we talked for a bit, before Alex picked us both up to go get Pho. It was delicious, as usual at Pho Phuong Trang (not a typical location for me). I personally think T. Cali > Phuong Trang, but that’s only an opinion. ;D. Afterwards Alex dropped us both off to get her Wii games, as we spent the rest of the night with her and Manuel playing Super Smash Melee. When Manuel’s two friends came over (whose names I forgot), we played Catan, which was a pretty confusing game, but somehow I managed to win. 6 AM work tomorrow, on a Saturday. BOO

An independent Republican advocacy group announced a $5 million ad buy Friday aimed at influencing Congress as it debates action on issues including deficit reduction and the economy. Crossroads GPS, an arm of American Crossroads, will launch a national TV ad detailing “the Obama Administration’s failure to improve the economy with its $830 billion stimulus legislation and other policies,” the group said. YAY GOOD FOR THEM.
