Day 364: Ron Paul R[evol]ution in the Rain

December 30th, 2011
My confidence in door knocking and phone banking solidifies as the process to help Ron Paul win continued today. After breakfast with David and Nikhil, I went with Evan, Tyler, and Colin all the way over to Iowa City to canvass and knock on doors. Me and Tyler subsequently walked for roughly 3 hours in the rain, going from door to door: encountering frat houses, 1 Yes, 1 leaning towards Yes, and a few Democrats who weren’t planning to attend the Caucues. Evan and Collin picked us up for lunch as we got some delicious Thai food at simply a local destination. Me and Tyler resumed walking in the rain afterwards getting lost a couple times walking miles upon miles. Eventually we got picked up to depart for home. We made a pit stop at the world’s largest truck stop in the world to get some delicious ice cream as well as look around (pictured above). When we got back to the camp, I phone banked with David and Nikhil, successfully getting two Yese’s. With these increased Yes’es, come an increased confidence in my ability to politically canvass. RON PAUL 2012 indeed.
