Day 123: Phil’s Loves Me!

May 3rd, 2011

Midterms are FINALLY over. I’m glad, because I tend to stress myself out over them, even if I’m confident in how much I know the material. But anyway, over-studying beats under-studying right? Subsequently, I took my first midterm today (where I cited over 20 of the readings merely for one essay), ate at lunch at Pines, studied for a bit at Geisel bumping into Brittney for a bit, chilled in Literature class, took my quiz in history class, bumped into Julie who said we couldn’t hang out Friday night because she has 4 midterms next week (fail), and then proceeded back to Geisel to finalize studying for my second Midterm. I then took it, and it was relatively easy. The only annoying part was when the professor showed the clip of The 40 Year Old Virgin twice for us to analyze. She already showed it in class a week before, so I didn’t quite understand why she did it again, while we were taking the test. Shrug. After a victory dinner at Panda Express, a victory television viewing was done through Glee with Amy & Brian. Unfortunately, the episode wasn’t as good as last week…. BUT next week is Prom! Yay! I ended the night relaxing and doing some homework. My picture of the day though comes from the digital world of Facebook, where you can clearly read Phil’s response to my blog post (from yesterday).

News
While the White House and the CIA deliberate whether to release a photo of Osama bin Laden’s body, there’s debate outside the White House on what impact such graphic images might have.
There is a school of thought inside the White House that the photo release is unnecessary because there is “no question” that bin Laden is dead, a senior administration official told CNN’s Gloria Borger. “We’ve got the DNA, the facials, the wife (identification) and measurements,” the source said. “There is no real issue that he didn’t get killed … What’s the point of putting them out when everyone knows he’s dead?” Release it. We need a more transparent government.
