Day 246: A Day with the Geetha

September 3rd, 2011
The day proved to be an ultimately triumphant one, as it was spent in its entirety with Geetha. After a surprise wake up call in the morning, I bused on over to her place, where I devoured several pieces of her cereal, as well as the rest of my delicious hot Funyans. Nom Nom Nom. We proceeded immediately afterwards to the 921 bus stop, where we were noobs and waited roughly 30 minutes for the bus to come. What was funny was that the 101 kept looping around back and forth from campus to the VA medical center. The futility and usefulness of the 101 was self evident in front of us.
We then got on the 921a, which took us straight to Mira Mesa, where we adventured to find a quick Barnes and Nobles. First though, we settled on eating at Buca de Beppo which was relatively delicious. We ordered two small plates, which proved to be ginormous both in size and quantity. We could not finish, took our leftovers to go, and proceeded for a reading splurge at Barnes and Nobles. While Geetha read some books about architecture and a kidnapped child, I settled for reading several magazines as well as the continuation of self-help advice books. I finished “The Happiness Project”, which I had started the last time I was there. When we got tired, we went to Ross so I could find a bathroom, and then proceeded for the bus, where we both fell asleep. Unfortunately for some reason the bus made a enormously loud sound everytime somebody bothered to pull the cord. It was really annoying and kept waking us up. We went back to campus to put some stuff back into Geetha’s place, before we proceeded to the Ralph’s shopping complex to 1) Get some delicious Chipotle and 2) Splurge at Marshall’s for a bit (even though neither of us actually bought anything).
By this point, we settled on watching a movie, so we proceeded back to my place, where Lauren talked to us for a bit, we ate some chocolate, Tim helped me set up the DVD Player, and we watched 1 episode of 24. When that was all over, I bused Geetha back on over to campus where we talked and chilled for the rest of the night. The end.
