Happy Memorial Day everybody! On my day off, I subsequently performed a variety of duties and tasks, instead of really relaxing. Lauren picked me up from Warren as we went to Chipotle to meet with Tyler and Manuel to discuss rent (Tim was not present, because he went home for the weekend). As I snapped a picture of Chipotle @ Ralph’s, I went in and had it for the first time in roughly two years. Fun Fun Fun Fun. We split the rent up, and we ended up deciding my rent was going to be $430, and I would pay Lauren through the wonderful means of PayPal. After talking to Lauren, Tyler, and Manuel for an hour, I realized next year is probably going to be a heck of a lot of fun. Me and Tyler might get bunk beds. When Lauren dropped me and Tyler off, we walked down the hill and proceeded to our prospective apartments. I did some work, went to a PAW meeting (Lauren’s first meeting as chair), and then made posters with Amul, Lauren, Alex, Katie, & Sid. I went ahead and got dinner at CV immediately after with Amul and Sid, getting for the first time a sandwich. French white bread + Ham + Pepper Jack Cheese + Lettuce + Pickles + Jalapenos = delicious. When I got back I ended up doing even more work. This week is looking especially busy… I did finish the following though:
1) Lexicon Final Analysis
2) Literature Video Contributions/Analysis
3) Sustainability Resource Center Research Paper
4) Type up History Notes
5) Do all American History Readings post-Midterm
Things I will need to do this week:
1) Prepare for all essay prompts for Americanization of History Course
2) Do all readings post-midterm for Film Studies Course
3) Other tasks, can’t remember now.
BYE!

| On May 30th, 1922, The Lincoln Memorial built to honor Abraham Lincoln the 16th president of the United States, is dedicated by Former President William Howard Taft in Washington, D.C. Wow, the Memorial was built on Memorial Day… it all makes sense now! |

| Politicians are in plentiful supply this Memorial Day as the ramp-up to the 2012 presidential election begins in earnest. Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, who began a nationwide bus tour Sunday, generated plenty of buzz, visiting Fort McHenry in Baltimore and Mount Vernon in Virginia on Monday. She told CNN on Monday that she plans to take her “One Nation” bus tour to Iowa, the state that votes first in the race for the Republican presidential nomination. GAH I HATE HER. |
P.S.:
