Day 130: Overachieving

May 10th, 2011

Overachieving is good. I woke up today super early in an effort to register for courses, but got locked out because Tritonlink was down. FAIL, ACS! Anyway, I took a shower and then registered for some courses, but found out I needed department approval to enroll in a History colloquium. I emailed the professor. [My schedule will be posted once I ultimately finalize it.] I then proceeded to work because my boss told me to go yesterday. While there, my boss came 30 minutes late to our appointment, and when he saw me he said “Sorry, I have no work for you. The computer guy took care of it.” I proceeded to ask Wendy Scott for work, who told me to pick up a package for her at Torrey Pines. YAY, and thus I got to ride the cart all the way around campus to Torrey Pines EHS. While there I snapped a picture of the beautiful nature.

Afterwards, I proceeded to class, went to Farmers Market with Jessica and didn’t get anything, went back to Earl’s to get Coconut ice cream, ate it, and then took a nap. I then proceeded to Warren Res Life to meet with Claire Palmer (NO I WASN’T IN TROUBLE). Me and Tyler proceeded to talk to her about an attempt to revive Warren TV. She was honest with us and told us all the problems 1) No funding 2) No advisor 3) No location to house equipment. It seemed that we were doomed. Oh well, asking WCSC is the next step in our feeble attempt.

I then went to Lit class, where I found out I had to do 8 more Lexicons for the rest of the quarter. FAIL. I then went to my Americanization class, and then ate at Foodworx with Geetha. It was delicious, as usual. <24. Sixth College. I think her pizza looked better than mine. I then went to my last class where I had trouble staying awake. Fail on my part. It’s probably because of my lack of sleep the night before, and right now as I’m writing this blog post. I then went back to my apartment and watched GLEE PROM with Amy & Rosario. FUN FUN FUN FUN. Friday, Great Cover! <24. Next 2 weeks should be full of drama though, so that’ll be awesome. I then spent the rest of the night doing homework, even though none of it was due:

1) HIUS Essay (due next Tuesday) *Rough Draft*
2) 8 Lit Lexicons (due end of Quarter)
3) Study for HIEU Quiz on Thursday.

Yay for Overachieving.

President Barack Obama renewed his push for comprehensive immigration reform Tuesday, citing America’s legacy as a nation of immigrants and saying that finding a solution for millions of undocumented workers is critical to the country’s common future. “We define ourselves as a nation of immigrants — a nation that welcomes those willing to embrace America’s precepts,” Obama said during a visit to El Paso, Texas. “It doesn’t matter where you come from. What matters is that you believe in the ideals on which we were founded, that you believe all of us are equal,” he said. “In embracing America, you can become American. That is what makes this country great.” UM No.
