Day 129: In AMERICA!

May 9th, 2011

Today, I went to work at EHS located in Pepper Canyon of Sixth College of UCSD IN AMERICA. I ate at Panda Express, even though I wasn’t in China, but instead IN AMERICA. I then went to work at the SRC spending most of my time fixing the website while also having a weekly meeting with my fellow interns Mandy, Sylvia, & Yu-Ting IN AMERICA. I walked on up Peterson to have an ICRA executive board meeting with Geetha, Nicole, Jorge, Lauren L, Cindy, Rashika, Amul, Bee-John, & Windi at the ICRA Office inside Eucalyptus Point inside Marshall College IN AMERICA. Stir fry was a delicious delicacy as I consumed them with Geetha and BeeJohn at Pines IN AMERICA. I went back to my apartment to relax in the virtual world with an ethernet cord plugged into the socket of Douglas Hall inside Warren College inside UCSD IN AMERICA. To finish my day off, I went to a typical PAW meeting, and ultimately snapped a picture a patriotic picture outside right here IN AMERICA. I finished the night brainstorming for the essay I will finish before SunGod weekend starts, hopefully….. in AMERICA.

History
On May 9th, 1974, Nixon impeachment hearings begin against President Richard M. Nixon today for his involvement in the Watergate cover-up. Nixon got a bad rep… he was a pretty good president up to this point, ultimatley withdrawing us out of VIETNAM.
News
House Speaker John Boehner indicated Monday that he plans to hold a hard line in debt-ceiling negotiations. Among his demands: Spending cuts in exchange for support to raise the debt ceiling — and the cuts will have to be greater in magnitude than the ceiling increase. “Without significant spending cuts and the way we spend Americans’ money, there will be no debt limit increase. And the cuts should be greater than the accompanying increase in debt authority the president is given,” Boehner said in a speech at the Economic Club of New York. DAMN RIGHT.
