Today was a relatively fun day. After doing some P90x and printing something out at work, I went to my class. In between those two things though I received a package from Allied Marketing in the shaddiest way possible: some guy called me and told me to meet him outside of Pepper Canyon (he was driving a brown van). He gave me the package, and inside were free movie tickets, free movie posters, free movie hats, and free movie t-shirts, all for the new Paramount Pictures movie Battle L.A. After class, I went to my ICRA office hours expecting Windi to meet with me, which she never did. Instead Cindy & Geetha crashed my office hours playing relatively loud music, and helping me put up balloon decorations in the office. I subsequently took a picture for my records, and the blog.
Me, Cindy, and Geetha were hungry so hurriedly headed to the Pines general direction to go eat. On the way we saw Matt Diamond and took him with us, as we met Bee-John there. Unfortunately he did not consume as much food as he did earlier in the week. Cindy, Geetha, Matt, and I would all head back to Warren where we would play Clue (with Amul, who later joined us), in Matt’s 1st floor study lounge. It was apparent from the game (which I won), that Cindy had no idea what she was doing, moving her piece from one place to another as a simpleton would. Shrug. We also played SET, which in my opinion is still too much of a thinking game to be considered entertainment. But Amul likes it, so that’s cool. After all this, we went back to my apartment and ate some leftover pizza from last night’s ICRA event. We all watched some silent library while Kunal and Kaslow were still present, and it was all good fun moments to spend on a Friday night.
Matt, Geetha, Amul, & I would head over to Ledden Auditorium for a FOOSH show! It was relatively enjoyable, with the two guys on LMU’s Laser Squad Bravo being absolutely hilarious. It’s obvious UCSD was going to beat it though, considering we were hosting the event. More tomorrow, but I don’t know if I want to go again. There’s apparently stripping involved on the third hour of the show. Shrug. After we all left, we met up with Rosario, Jake, and Alex, and headed back to my place to watch Zoolander. It wasn’t that great of a movie, although there were some pretty memorable quotes to laugh at. We talked for a bit, but when the conversation delved into mathematical equations on a Friday night, I wanted to bring back the fun by turning the television on. Some weird informercials and zombie movies were on that late at night (around 12:30, not really that late). After Alex & Jake left, we all headed to Earl’s before splitting ways.
Geetha, Amul, & I would talk for a bit before Geetha ultimately left. Amul spent the rest of the night playing video games and praticing guitar while I blogged and ultimately fell asleep. FUN FRIDAY ! :). Also the start of my last real weekend of fun before the epic finals weekend, in which I must cram/study for my finals on Monday & Tuesday night of finals week.
| As Libya moves toward civil war, reports of violence and casualties continue to mount between forces loyal to longtime leader Moammar Gadhafi and rebel fighters who refuse to let up until Gadhafi’s rule ends. Intense clashes broke out in the city of Zawiya on Saturday between pro-Gadhafi forces and opposition fighters, a witness told CNN. At least two Libyan army tanks entered Martyr Square, where heavy gunfire could be heard for several hours and mortar shells fell, he said. “Gadhafi’s troops, they are retreating,” the witness said late Saturday morning. He is not being identified for safety reasons. Pro-Gadhafi forces also entered a residential area in Zawiyah and were shooting live ammunition and automatic weapons on residents in the streets, the witness said. EEEEK. | ![]() |

On March 4th, 1933, Franklin D. Roosevelt was inaugurated as the 32nd president of the United States pledging to lead the country out of the Great Depression. Contrary to what everyone thinks, FDR’s New Deal did not lead us out of the Great Depression. Instead, it was actually World War II that did the trick. It helped stimulate the economy and make all countries in Europe in debt to us, ultimately making us an economic superpower. |
