Day 55: All Tangled Up

February 24th, 2011

Today was a relatively rough day, with many tangles, vines, and hurdles I had to inevitably conquer. In the wee hours of the day, I along with Germaine, Angie, Kunal, Alex, Tyler, Steven, Jasmine, Nancy, Rosario amongst other persons (Alexandra, Brian, etc.) all surprised Amy with a happy birthday surprise. Subsequently thereafter I was trapped in the closet with Tyler, before eventually escaping. I would sleep, and then wake up the next morning energized. I had lunch with Leah & Brittney at Pines, as our usual biweekly meal. I got stir fry again, as usual, as we planned a potential Leah cooked-dinner for my mouth to savor in. Right after I went to work, and then I went to Price Center to try to study for a bit. I found a new study location, which is on the second floor of Price Center. It was a nice napping location as well, but I could hear occassion Bible/Small groups talking and ultimately waking me up. I went outside to take a picture of Price Center, and this nice little angled picture from the second floor was produced. I ate at Burger King for dinner, being already in PC, and being in a slightly Tangled mood (that’s angry). I went to my dull class, went to Earl’s to get a milkshake, and then went back to Price Center to watch the movie Tangled with Geetha. If you can see clearly enough, the bright light near the top of the picture underneath the trees is where the Price Center Theatre is. After, we watched some Glee before I headed back to my room to study some more.

After a day in which Charlie Sheen took to the airwaves to criticize everything from his boss to Alcoholics Anonymous, CBS has finally had enough. Production on ‘Two and a Half Men,’ the troubled star’s uber-successful sitcom, was set to resume on Monday. Four more episodes were to have been made before the ‘Men’ wrapped up work on its eighth season. But in a statement issued late Thursday, CBS said that it was halting production on those episodes. “Based on the totality of Charlie Sheen’s statements, conduct and condition, CBS and Warner Bros. Television have decided to discontinue production of ‘Two and a Half Men’ for the remainder of the season,” the statement read in full. I would be so worried, but I guess it’s a good thing I don’t watch this show.
On February 24th, 2008, Fidel Castro the Cuban revolutionary who had ruled Cuba for nearly 50 years retires as the President of Cuba after nearly fifty years, his retirement was forced due to illness and the Cuban National Assembly elects Raúl Castro to succeed him as the President of Cuba . Too bad he’s just as bad.
