Day 30: A Sprinkle of Studying

January 30th 2011

Today was a day full of Sprinkles. Sprinkles Cupcakes and Sprinkles of studying (which means not that much studying done unfortunately).

After finding my friend Geetha’s lost keys at SAC, I went to get cupcakes with Michelle Wong @ Sprinkles!. The line was surprisingly shorter than we thought it would be – it only took about 24 minutes to get inside and order our cupcakes. I ended up getting three flavors: vanilla milk chocolate, black and white, and red velvet. Delicious, but definitely not worth the price – 3.50 EACH.

I then proceeded to study in the library at Geisel with Geetha, which was an ultimate fail…. I unfortunately dropped one of my Sprinkles cupcakes on the floor there and was unable to continue consuming it (in fear of contamination poisoning). We figured it would be quieter and easier to study in the ICRA office, so we tried that, but in the end still ended up getting distracted. In the end, I only really got a “Sprinkle” amount of studying done. We went to Foodworx, got our pizzas, I came back to Warren, and studied the rest of the night away. Midterm on Tuesday & Wednesday! Wish me luck.

U.S. President Barack Obama urged Americans to “win the future” this week, while moving ahead in the effort to do that himself as well. Obama delivered the State of the Union address, an annual constitutional obligation which has become an opportunity for the White House to praise its accomplishments and sketch-out its plans. In that ritual speech to lawmakers, judges, ambassadors and guests, Obama advanced a range of initiatives but passed-over one crucial item on his personal agenda: beginning his campaign for re-election. Too bad Ron Paul is going to end up beating him!
On January 30th, 1933, Adolf Hitler the leader of the National Socialist German Workers Party (or Nazi Party), becomes chancellor of Germany. Unfortunately, Hitler would try to exterminate a bunch of Jewish persons, gypsies, homosexuals, and anything that deviated from the norm…. causing his character to be judged as a man who had moral repugnance.

P.S.: Stop right there. That’s exactly where I lost it. See that line. Well I never should have crossed it. Stop right there. Well I never should have said that it’s the very moment that
I wish that I could take back.
