Day 13: Paw Paw Paw Poker Night

January 13th 2011

After spending virtually the entire day at work (both working & not working), I ate at Foodworx and then went home to my apartment to begin work on my PAW Valentine’s Day project. Then I went to class, where a surprisingly drowsy Howard crashed.

The unique part of the day happened after class, at Paw’s Poker Night, hence my picture of the day. Though the event had a relatively moderate turn-out, I believe we did recruit some members (I cross my finger in hoping they actually show up on Monday). Though the event itself was fun, the talking to PAW members after was even more fun, in particular: Sid, Amul, Jake, Amy, Katie, Rosario, Alex, and Lauren. WE ARE HOWEVER NOT A CLIQUE, and I refuse to label myself as so. Afterwards I went to Lauren’s apartment for a little bit, folllowed by some Glee watching with Sandy. The end.

Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords’ condition continues to improve as she recovers at University Medical Center.
Dr. Peter Rhee, medical director of UMC’s Trauma and Critical Care, confirmed reports that Giffords opened her eyes last night for the first time since the shooting. “As you heard from the president yesterday, it is true, she did have spontaneous eye opening yesterday,” Rhee said, “and she’s becoming more and more alert at this time.” Thank Goodness. I hope her well <24.
On January 13th, 1968, Johnny Cash performs live for the second time at Folsom Prison in the prison cafeteria which was recorded as the album Johnny Cash at At Folsom Prison. And hence marks the scene in “Walk in the Line”, that I remember oh so dearly – the beginning and the end. Reese Witherspoon is literally a dream come true – the girl next door. I’d marry her!

P.S.: Happiness is like the old man told me . Look for it, but you’ll never find it all. Let it go, live your life and leave it. Then one day, wake up and she’ll be home. Home, home, home
