A random sequence of events occured today, culminating ultimately into nothingness. As usual, I woke up, did P90X, and then went to class. After class, me & Adam passed by a SunGod alcohol-prevention booth where Adam got to take a drunk walking test, while I answered some questions about alcohol. Apparently alcohol and marijuana is bad for people, especially students on campus. No surprise there. Subsequently, I got a free SunGod t-shirt, the front saying “Sun God Says…” and the back saying “Too much Booze will Ruin Your Smooze”. After that short lived alcohol awareness lession we went to Pines where we bumped into and ate with Bijan.
The day later continued with class, then me ditching the WTCC meeting to over-study for a quiz in my later Computer Game Studies class at Geisel. Then, in computer game studies class I found out the quiz was SUPER EASY (10 multiple choice questions). Subsequently as seen in my 365 picture of the day, we actually played video games in class. The professor first played for 5 minutes, then asked two students to come up and play. The game, as seen in the picture, was SSX Tricky, and contained lots of racial and at the same time comedic elements.
After that wonderfulness, the day ended with me going to Panda Express & Goody’s with Tyler, an NRHH meeting, me going to Goody’s with Lauren, Cindy, and Alex, and then an ICRA meeting. Of particular note during the ICRA meeting, when I tried to move commitees from Spirit Night to Next Best Dance crew, the president bitched at me. UGH. I am dreading Saturday.
Finally, if you haven’t already, go pick up a copy of the California Review and read my article, which is located on page 3! (OR READ IT ONLINE).
| President Obama paid tribute on Wednesday to the victims of Saturday’s Tucson massacre, calling for a cooling of hot political rhetoric during a memorial service attended by thousands at the University of Arizona. “It’s important for us to pause for a moment and make sure that we’re talking with each other in a way that heals, not in a way that wounds,” the president said. I can agree with the President on this one. People need to stop and recognize the tragedy, and stop trying to politicize it. | ![]() |

On January 12th, 1966, President Lyndon Johnson revealed that he thinks that war troops should stay in Vietnam. He wanted the troops to stay for as long as necessary. He made this decision despite the controversy surrounding whether or not this was the right decision. Some believed very strongly that President Johnson made the right choice, while others believed it was the wrong choice. At the time, Lyndon Johnson’s main concern was that China was attempting to take over all of Asia. This would then lead to the spread of communism. This was one of the biggest Fail moments in U.S. History |
