I realized today that goodbye doesn’t necessarily mean forever. If something’s meant to last, it’ll last regardless of time or distance. Friendships that are important will overcome all bounds of time, distance, space, and dimension.
I said goodbye to Geetha this morning, and will miss her for the two and a half week seperation we are about to embark on. I went to work to print out a few documents, and then the SRC & the Communication department to turn in my Sustainability Resource Center research paper. After doing so, I bused off campus to Bank of America to withdraw a direct deposit slip for my paperwork signing tomorrow. When all these errands were said and done, I went to bus back on campus, encountering Victoria and Tyler on my way back. We made small talk, as we all headed in the general Warren direction. I said goodbye to Victoria for I probably won’t see her again until Summer Session II. I left to my apartment shortly thereafter for a long, but much needed nap.
In waking up, I went back to EHS to print out a few documents, before going to Tiffany and Michelle’s place to say a few short goodbyes. I won’t see either of them till August, or September respectively. Afterwards I proceeded back to my place to rest for a bit, before renting a cart at SAC with Amul for moving my stuff. Me and Amul both put stuff in the cart and rolled it on over to Lauren’s car before I returned my keys, saying goodbye to Warren Res Life forever. Me and Lauren spent roughly an hour unpacking at the new La Regencia apartment, before coming back to campus for PAW’s Pazookies Set-Up. After Setting up, a vast amount of people came and enjoyed 10 boxes of delicious Pizookies from BJ’S. In attendance was Tyler, Alex, Lauren, Jake, Amy, Rosario, Matt, Amul, Julia, Robbie, Vaibhav, Scott, Angela, Gordie, Tiffany, Louise, Daniel, and Ryan. After eating that wonderful dessert, it was time for my stomach to eat it’s only meal of the day. Me, Bee-John, Alex, Tyler, Jake, Matt, and Rosario would all go to Phil’s BBQ. We waited in line for roughly 40 minutes and chowed away our prospective meals, me proclaiming this as essentially “The Last Supper”. I said my goodbyes in taking a picture with Jake and Matt, who I most likely won’t ever see again…. We went to the La Jolla movie theater straight afterwards where we ran into Amul, and watched X Men: First Class. I was a little confused at first, but I loved the movie, especially its inaccurate historical references to the Cuban Missile Crisis and the Bay of Pigs invasion. When it came time to say goodbye, I hugged Alex (who I will probably see again seeing as she’s going to Grad school at UCSD), and hugged Jake and Matt at Earl’s Cul De Sac… realizing the end was near. But like I said, goodbye doesn’t, and shouldn’t have to be forever.

| A Democratic lawmaker familiar with discussions with and about Anthony Weiner tells CNN that Weiner’s colleagues are telling him this afternoon he should resign “to preserve his own dignity.” This Democratic congressman says this afternoon’s public call by Democratic Rep. Allyson Schwartz, D-Pennsylvania, for Weiner to resign is part of a new stepped up effort to force Weiner out. Schwartz heads up recruiting efforts for House Democrats for the 2012 election cycle. The source said the effort includes private and public calls explicitly telling Weiner it’s time to leave Congress. UGH WHO CARES. COVER REAL NEWS CNN. |
