Today was a heavy dose of studying, or lack thereof. I got breakfast at CV (ick) with Amul, where I encountered some delicious chocolate chip pancakes. After attempting to study in bed for a couple hours, I utlimately fell asleep, awakened by Matt Chow’s phonecall. He came to Warren and we went to Michelle and Tiffany’s place to start filming scenes for Stephanie Jed’s literature movie. Turns out I’m a terrible actor who can’t even pretend to cry/be emotional in a scene. Ugh. I went back to my room to study for a few more hours, before a study break with Geetha at Price Center Theater, where I saw again the Green Hornet – a decent, and relatively funny movie. [I snapped a picture]. After attempting to get food at Goodies for dinner and realizing it was closed at 10 on weekends, I went to Geetha’s place and we ordered some delicious Dominoe’s pizza. After hours of attempting to study and failing, I went back home to ultimately try some more. Better luck tomorrow.

| On April 30th, 1952, The diary of Anne Frank, a Jewish victim of the Holocaust is to be published in English titled “The Diary of a Young Girl”. Her diary, later entitled “The Diary of Anne Frank”, becomes one of the most popular books in the world and is included in most schools as recommended reading. ( I read this very moving journal after my daughter read it in high school just a few years ago and was amazed at how well it was written under terrible circumstances ) The diary provides a disturbing account of a teenager living in hiding with seven others in fear of their lives in occupied Holland, Anne Frank died of typhus just before her 16th birthday in the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp in 1945. Sad times. |

| The Libyan government said Sunday that ruler Moammar Gadhafi’s son and his three grandchildren died in a NATO airstrike, and vowed to retaliate with death to “invaders” in the nation. Gadhafi and his wife were in their son’s house when it was targeted, but they are in good health, government spokesman Musa Ibrahim told journalists. In addition to Saif al-Arab Gadhafi, three of the ruler’s grandchildren also died in the attack, he said. Our government fails and NATO fails. |
