My day was relatively bad, because of the sixth college concert I went to today – entitled KunCocShun. Before I get into my review, I’ll summarize my day first. I woke up in the morning, went to EH&S and had to actually do work. I put some room signs up in the Pharmaceutical Sciences Building (Skaggs) as well as the Stein Clininal Facility. When that was all done, I dropped off some warranty slip at Geetha’s place, ate a gross hot dog from foodworx, and went back to my place to study. I went to Kuncocshun in between with Bee-John and his friend John, which happened to be the worst decision of my life. After studying more at my place, Geetha came over, we studied, we went to Price Center to eat Tapioca Express with Bee-John, and studied some more. Studying entailed the watching of lots of Ron Paul videos, which was nice.
Anyway, here’s my review of KunCocShun (Granted, it’s going to sound much more like a rant than a review). First off, the organization of it was terrible. There was free Korean BBQ so me, Bee-John and his friend John lined up for 30 minutes, before realizing you needed a coupon to get the free food. THANKS FOR TELLING US THAT, ASSHOLES. After going up to this one Asian guy Shawn, we realized we would have to wait till 5:00 for the handing out of free Korean BBQ coupons. We started a line on our own, with the security guard backing us up, saying we were there first. With 30 people behind us, Shawn walks 50 feet away from us and waves as us to all go over to him to get the coupons. WHAT THE EFF. YOU FAIL. Whoever coordinated that Korean Food shit was stupid. When we were in the middle of the line, some white guy pops out and was like the one coupon we all have isn’t even enough for a full meal, but instead half a meal. WHAT THE EFF. STUPID. Granted, I’m sure the concert was okay, but not many people showed up. Next time maybe they should focus on customer service better. Free Food does not equate waiting in line for 2 hours and getting 1 taco. You know how Bear Garden and Pancake Breakfasts work? Painfully well. Not to mention none of the booths had anything to do with one another – they were just random assortments of crap. I’ll never go to another Kuncocshun in my life. And I will boycott that Tabe Korean BBQ, because it’s not even that great >:(

| On April 29th, 1992, Rioting broke out in Los Angeles following the decision by a jury to acquit four white police officers accused of beating black motorist Rodney King. The case centered on a video, taped by an amateur cameraman which caught the scene on film as the four police officers beat, kicked and clubbed unemployed laborer Rodney King while other officers looked on. The officers did face a second trial a year later, on federal charges of violating Rodney King’s civil rights, 2 were found guilty and faced prison sentences of two years. The violence continued for 4 days in which 55 people were killed caused by revenge attacks against whites and Asians by the black rioters. I really dislike how people think Rodney King was a completely innocent party in all this. |

| Guns, abortion and Donald Trump: Three topics so controversial that Groupon doesn’t want its brand anywhere near them. The daily-deals website said late Thursday that it will pull its ads from the website of Donald Trump’s television show “The Apprentice” to distance itself from the “political criticism” swirling around Trump and his presidential ambitions. OMG NOOB. |
