The pre-adventures of lunar new year started this year with a nice family trip to some Buddhist temples.
We prayed for Kai’s overall wellbeing this year before snapping some ceremonial photos. Luckily he was in a cooperative mood and smiled every time I stomped on the floor!!!
We went over to my moms afterwards where he got his first ever li xi (red envelope) per Tet traditions.
It’s a shame lunar new year is on a Tuesday this year resulting in muted celebrations during the week. I’m hoping for a year of wealth, prosperity, and ultimately joy for Kai as he transitions into toddler-hood.
