Last year, Kai had his first photoshoot. Well, this year we upped the ante so to speak, by having him conduct his first outdoor photoshoot.
It’s a bit unfortunate that it had to happen in the worst of conditions, during a sweltering California heatwave. But actually… it might have worked to our benefit for the shoot location to be emptier than usual.
The location? Redwood Grove in Carbon Canyon, location of the largest redwoods in Southern California!
At the end of the day, we just wanted a good family photo together where Kai had a real genuine smile. Thanks to our wonderful photographer, we were able to get many decent shots. As well as key guidance on how to get to the actual Redwoods from the parking lot (an extra 10-15 minute trek, I must say). When he fell asleep on the walk to the actual Redwoods, we were a bit concerned he would be overly emotional waking up, but luckily he was in the best of moods, resulting in many delicious photos, and family memories we can look at for years to come.
It won’t be the last photoshoot of the Tran family, that’s for sure!
