Today, we went to fast food Disneyland and discovered several gourmet reimagined offerings of some of the most recognizable fast food brands in the world.
Here’s a quick rundown and rating of every item tried:
- Red Robin: Jalapeno Heatwave Burger: A pretty standard burger that wasn’t spicy at all in my opinion. 4/5 stars
- Red Robin: Triple Pickle Onion Rings: Had an interesting, and unique taste to it, but didn’t quite melt in your mouth right. 3/5 stars.
- Krispy Kreme: Original Glazed Doughnut: The standard, sugary donut bound to give you diabetes. 4/5 stars
- Krispy Kreme: Maple Iced Doughtnut: Standard, but more Canadian. 3/5 stars.
- Portillo’s Haute Dog: This was pretty good, the sausage itself was mouth-watering and went together well with the chips and pickles. The bun was a bit mid though. 4/5 stars
- Domino’s: Bougie Emergency Pizza: Inedible, but I don’t really like salmon, so makes sense. 1/5 stars
- Lactaid Creamy Lactose-Free Cookies & Cream Supreme: Pretty good cookies n cream ice cream on top of a chocolate chip cookie. 3/5 stars.
- Caffe Panna Vanilla Red Flag: The best ice cream of the entire event but eating ice cream back to back was probably a bad idea. Yummy strawberry scent. 5/5 stars.
- Caffe Panna Cookies N Panna Ice Cream: Pretty basic compared to the other ice creams, but also too frozen to eat at the time so we didn’t really finish it. NA / 5 stars
- Pepto Bismol: Free Hat & Free Clear Bag: Who doesn’t love free stuff? 5/5 Stars
- Pepto Bismol: Free Medicine: Good for an upset stomach. 5/5 Stars
- Hot Dog on a Stick: Elote Dog on a Stick: Meh, maybe I’m not a big fan of elote to begin with, but this didn’t quite hit the spot for me. 2/5 stars.
- Cracker Barrel: Country Fried Steak ‘n Gravy Biscuitwich. I’m not a big fan of biscuits since they’re a little dry, but the actual steak inside was pretty decent. 3/5 stars
- DutchBros Coffee: Chainfest Rebel Energy Drink: Was a little too medicinal for my taste, but I enjoyed the popping boba. 2/5 stars.
- DutchBros Coffee: Truly Golden Eagle Cold Brew: It was pretty good, and reminded of a less sweet Caramel Frap from Starbucks. 4/5 stars.
- DutchBros Coffee: Free Hat & Stickers. Love free shit. 5/5 stars.
- Free Caricatures: Excellent, even if the line took a while. Though, they made Katherine’s nose too big and made me look too white. 4/5 stars.
- KFC: Tenders with Mashed Potato Waffle. Would have probably tasted better with ketchup. I’m a bigger fan of Popeyes anyway. 2/5 stars
- The Tomauto Shop: The Gewurz Joe. We were pretty full by this point, but it just tasted like a standard sloppy Joe. 2/5 stars.
- Medical Center: Free Water. Tap water, and not cold by any means, but helped cure our dehydration for a bit. 2/5
- Panda Express X Hot Ones Blazing Bourbon Chicken: Probably the best thing we ate all day. It’s supposed to be “spicy” but I imagine it’s only that way for people who have terribly weak stomachs. 5/5 stars
- Panda Express: Sweet & Sour Chili Crunch Oyster Mushroom: Not something I’d order at a restaurant ever. 2/5 stars.
- White Castle’s 1921 Slider with New School American Cheese and Chain’s Castle Crave Sauce. Too full, will maybe try tomorrow. Update later. NA/5 stars.
- Johnny Rockets: Cosmic Cherry Cheesecake: They closed by the time we made it to the line sadly, resulting in a 0/5 rating.
Needless to say, it was an unforgettable experience. Not necessarily something we would ever have to go to again, but it was worth it for the food, the free stuff, and of course the lifetime of memories.
