Since the day we met, I’ve been keeping a running log of everything Katherine and I have been to on a daily basis. Utilizing that data for research purposes, I have now compiled a list of our top 24 most visited food locales.
24. Past Memories (12 visits). Sometimes all we want is some delicious korean military stew, although we’ve just recently started making our own and it is comparable.
23. Roasting Water (12 visits). Boba. But we mostly came for some of the collectable cups. Not anymore.
22. Sharetea (12 visits). For their mini-boba.
21. Presotea (13 visits). Not sure why we went so often, it’s pretty disappointing here.
20. Cheesecake factory (13 visits). What can go wrong with moderately priced American food? Ironically enough my usual order there is the Korean fried chicken. Katherine usually gets the Pasta Da Vinci. We have been there for New Year’s Eve twice now. We have never ever eaten a slice of cheesecake there together.
19. Sabrosada (15 visits). For their California burritos. But now, with inflation, it is sadly no longer worth it.
18. Olive Garden (16 visits). Endless soup and salad?! I love the Tour of Italy there. Only food snobs in the 1% criticize this restaurant. This is a reminder that plebians need to eat too!
17. Somisomi (17 visits). This would probably be higher if they didn’t limit their possible swirls. Their whole swirls of the week gimic only allow me to visit whenever I happen to see milk & ube as a combination.
16. Domino’s (18 visits). Cheap pizza. Good for our family budget.
15. Kyotori (18 visits). A quick and conveniently close location for sushi (for her), and chicken teriyaki bowls (for me).
14. Red Robin (19 visits). Endless fries + free birthday burger on the month of your birthday??! Sold!
13. 7 Leaves (20 visits). My favorite drink there remains the Mung Bean Milk Tea, which I have yet to find a decently tasting duplicate at any other boba locale in the world. We even served some at our wedding.
12. Chipotle (21 visits). Decently sized portions, and I’ve yet to see the shrinkflation so many complain about online.
11. In&Out (23 visits). A delicious and convenient meal open late; we even went after our wedding!
10. Sunright Tea Studios (27 visits). Solid and deliciious boba.
9. Costco Food Court (30 visits). The best meal for somebody on a budget.
8. Ding Tea (32 visits). Close by and cheaper than other boba – not the greatest by any means.
7. Phil’s BBQ (34 visits). Always delicious. I’m disappointed that this number isn’t #1, but due to geographical barriers it quite possibly can’t be higher than the others.
6. Mcdonald’s (37 visits). Because the inner-kid in both of us still want happy meal toys.
5. Phoholic (38 visits). Because we still have Vietnamese blood in us craving that delicious beef broth.
4. Panda Express (39 visits). This number has gone up due to the fact that the 2 item-plate has been $5 every time the Dodgers won a home game (which has been quite a lot this season).
3. Jumpa Thai (39 visits). A solid and comfortable food for us whenever we cannot decide what we want to eat. We stick to our usuals – the Chicken Pad Thai & Pineapple Fried Rice.
2. Kaju (39 visits). Soft and delicious tofu soup. With endless sides to spare. Definitely something to eat in cold weather, as well as in blazing hot temperatures.
1. Tastea (114 visits). Surprised, and yet not that surprised by how high this number is. This remains our most consistent go-to boba location. We started getting the drinks with Stevia instead to also reduce our sugar intake.
No matter where we go for food, expensive or poor, we will always have the taste of love forever in our hearts.
