When I was a kid, I didn’t get a chance to go to many movies. My parents didn’t have the luxury (or the english skills) to really allow me a chance to go. As an adult, I’m grateful for the ability to do so (much more at my own convenience). I’m sharing my love of movies by taking students on a field trip this week to see Captain America: Civil War. It will be my 200th movie ever watched in theaters.
With that said, here’s a list (and VERY brief) review of all the movies I have ever seen in a movie theater from birth to present. One thumb up means good, One thumb down means bad, two thumbs up means GREAT, and two thumbs down means HORRIBLE (Last Updated May 2nd, 2016).
Pocahontas (1995): I got to see it at the park where I normally visited when I was a kid. They had an outdoor screening for our poor neighborhood, and as a kid, it was a WONDERFUL experience.
![]()

Pokemon (1999): The first movie I ever saw in theaters. What better way to live my childhood than with Pikachu, Ash, and Misty?
![]()

Dude Where’s My Car (2000): I went with my sisters and my parents (AWKWARD). They didn’t know English so I’m not so sure they picked up on the sexual innuendos during the movie. Needless to say, it was pretty terrible and I was about 10 at the time when I watched it.
![]()

Spider Man (2002): It was good. I especially enjoyed the kiss scene between Peter Parker and Mary Jane (in the rain).
![]()

The Ring (2002): Scary, no doubt. Funny, no doubt. Entertaining, no doubt.
![]()

Legally Blonde 2: Red, White, and Blonde (2003): What a letdown this was, even with the star power of Reese Witherspoon. It was so bad, they never made the third movie they were going to make (where she would have inevitably ran for…. President).
![]()

Cheaper By the Dozen (2003): A great family occasion. I also had a crush on Hilary Duff at the time.
![]()

Win a Date with Tad Hamilton (2004): Chick flicks normally are okay for me, but this one just didn’t do it for me…
![]()

![]()

A Cinderella Story (2004): Hilary Duff wins my heart again in this movie.
![]()

The Bourne Supremacy (2004): Watched this despite watching the first movie. I was super confused. Good acting and action nevertheless.

![]()

![]()

Star Wars Episode III Revenge of the Sith (2005): Dialogue sucked. I didn’t understand the Star Wars hype at the time either.
