‘Twas the week before Thanksgiving, when all through the mall,
Katherine and I got presents for mostly the small,
We looked for great deals no matter the place,
It was a little thrilling enjoying the chase,
When we got home, we wrapped them with care
But mine were quite ugly, and would give you a scare
And yet I’m glad our work is mostly done
Shopping can be painful, but Katherine had fun.
For Black Friday will be a day of shopping woe,
And for that we’d rather stay home than cough up the dough.
The holiday season is all about giving and not expecting much back,
I only need Katherine, and not some knick knacks.
May the rest of the holidays fill you all with some joy,
Just as the eyes of a kid light up when they get a new toy.
