It’s Career and College Week here at Dale, and our focus is on inspiring our students to explore their future paths.
In today’s extended “assembly” lesson, we encouraged our students to discover various career opportunities aligned with their unique skills and aspirations, culminating in the creation of vision boards. However, we faced a slight setback as the chosen website experienced technical difficulties, most likely due to high district-wide traffic. Despite this challenge, the students persevered in their quest to identify potential careers.
The vision board activity was a delightful experience overall. Personally, I indulged in a whimsical scenario where I imagined myself as a renowned Phil’s BBQ chef, living in a cozy tent with my 10 children, and using an ice cream truck as my mode of transportation.
It’s essential for our students to recognize the importance of planning for their futures. We want to ensure that they have a solid plan in place, preventing any possibility of homelessness down the road.
