The Magic of Paint Nites

Paint Nites are fun. If you’ve never done one, I highly recommend you do so. It’s not just for simps that are dragged along by their girlfriends. It’s for everyone!

I’m not the best painter in the world, and I have lost 3 out of the 4 “paint nite” competitions. And yet, there’s something relaxing about putting imagery onto a canvas (as guided by an instructor of course).

My first paint nite with Katherine was of a nice scene in Africa with an elephant. It was still the only one I’ve won in our paint nites together. Luckily for her, somebody bought her painting for $20, while mine still sits lonely in my room.

Painting #2 is of a nice serene skyline with a beautiful mountain and some birds. Unfortunately I messed up and you can see some dripping white paint in the middle of my canvas. I usually mess up the paintings at the end.

Because of Covid-19 we had to take a break from paint nite for about a year, but then we came back to it, this time painting a nice little ocean scenery. I messed up in the end yet again with my disgusting looking trees that caused me to lose the Instagram-instant poll.

Finally, the most recent paint nite resulted in two hearts that happened to look like barbed wire. If you look closely at the female in my painting, you’ll see that she has dreadlocks. Beautiful.

Anyway, I hope I have inspired the non-believers to go try their own paint nites in the future. Have a nice life. Good luck to all.
