Updates from Quarantine

It’s officially Day 57 of quarantine. How am I keeping track of the days? – Based on the amount of days since a majority of school districts in California closed down (March 13th)

How have I been occupying a majority of my time? During the month of April I was thoroughly obsessed with Animal Crossing: New Horizons, playing it immediately upon waking up every morning. The novelty would eventually wear off though as I accomplished most tasks, including designing my own version of Phil’s BBQ in the game.

Whereas I started off playing the game for about 8 hours a day, it has steadily dwindled down to about 30 minutes a day now, where I only shake trees, dig up fossils, and water my crops every morning.

As a result of these new developments, my time has freed up again allowing me to accomplish various necessary and unnecessary tasks, which includes job hunting, taking online classes, and of course backlogging my expenses since 2013 and logging them all into an Excel spread sheet.

That brings me my next project! Because 2020 really brought me a “new vision” so to speak of the world, I am going to write letters – a different letter to a different person each day this quarantine goes on. For the last 3 days, I have spent time catching up and have written subsequently 57 letters as of May 9th. As the quarantine continues I will keep writing letters for every day that stay-at-home orders are in effect, mailing them out periodically from time to time. I will use Phil’s BBQ as my metric for when stay-at-home orders are lifted – when the restaurant is officially open again for dine-in, I will stop writing letters.

It might have been time consuming, but now that I am caught up, my hands will be able to write a quality letter each day for the rest of this Covid-19-crisis. If you haven’t already, message me your address to receive a hand-written letter from me.

Stay safe everybody.
