Day 345: Phil’s > Kbbq

December 11th, 2011
After lounging around La Regencia all day doing virtually nothing (except maybe making a mess cooking some delicious fried rice), I eventually opted to leave the apartment. The purpose? Phil’s BBQ, of course. Bee-John came on over all the way from his place to come get veggie burgers at the fine establishment. With his friend Fernado driving us, John Cuellar picked us up, dropped off his other friend John at the Sports Arena, got gas, and drove us straight to the delicacy that is Phil’s BBQ. We met up with their other friends Joe and Yonathan as we got into several debates regarding the quality of the BBQ. I ended up winning the argument essentially arguing that Phil’s BBQ, while cheaper than Korean BBQ, is still quantitatively more delicious and even so, the extent of the food coma emergent from said consumption is more deadly of a blow than other food item would ever be. When our trip was done we all parted ways, me eventually going over to Geetha’s place. I met up with her at the Lodge, where we watched with Bill some terrible movie called “Trick or Treat”. After I missed half the movie, there was no possible way to catch up. We went back to Geetha’s place where I cried after watching Marley and Me. SAD!
PS: My picture of the day is a hint to anyone reading.!

History
After ruling for less than one year, Edward VIII becomes the first English monarch to voluntarily abdicate the throne. He chose to abdicate after the British government, public, and the Church of England condemned his decision to marry the American divorcĂ©e Wallis Warfield Simpson. On the evening of December 11, he gave a radio address in which he explained, “I have found it impossible to carry on the heavy burden of responsibility and to discharge the duties of king, as I would wish to do, without the help and support of the woman I love.” On December 12, his younger brother, the duke of York, was proclaimed King George VI.
