Day 342: Finals Over, Amul Surprise!

December 7th, 2011
A surprise visit from Amul today made what would have otherwise been an empty day a full one. I went to my only “written” final of the entire quarter- Vietnamese. While there, the professor brought us some delicious Vietnamese sandwiches as well as tangerines for us to munch on. When it was all done, I proceeded to EHS to work for a bit, before deciding to go home to rest for some time. In what may or may have been perfect timing, I ended up bumping into Amul as I walked off the bus stop towards my La Regencia home. It turns out he had come to visit, despite not reminding me. Still, it was all worth it because the day was massively entertaining (being my first day free of studying). We started off by watching a few episodes of How I Met Your Mother (including Slapsgiving), before playing some downloaded multiplayer games on his Xbox. Jessica came over for a bit to get distracted from her studies while talking about her decaying tooth.

Afterwards, me and Amul paid Kunal a visit at Costa Verde to exchange certain books and materials. We talked to pompous Kaslow and mellow Kunal for a bit before ultimately departing to pick up Bee-John at his place (before getting lost looking for Genessee). We then picked up Alex at Mesa housing before meeting up with Adam at Five Guys for a decent tasting dinner. When all was said and done we went back to my place where we began playing the game pictured above: Munchkin Fu. It was rather addicting although a tad bit complicated at first. Eventually Alex and Adam both had to leave to “study” or prepare for “presentations” and such. We ended playing another round where I was able to punish Tyler with a +31 level monster. Tyler gave up after my wonderful efforts before me, Bee-John, and Amul played a final round. We watched Rat Race before everyone departured for distinctive beds. It was basically a slumber party in my living room, with Munchkin Fu and Bee-John’s teddy bear (as pictured above) being two distinctive yet powerful entities in the room.
