Day 297: The Sound of Silence

October 24th, 2011
I woke up this morning prepared for my ultimate fate – 7 hours of classes (with one short 1-hour break in between). I first walked to my first class of the day COGN150, where I witnessed an epic Ron Paul sign in the middle of Mandeville. That encouraged me to a great extent to carry out the rest of my day in ease, as I snapped a picture of it. In COGN150 we witnessed a devastating and super sad presentation by an author who is trying to help the kids of Darfur and the Sudan. SO SAD. I went to Poli class immediately afterwards and sat with Brittney, before going to Rubio’s to get my birthday lunch. Despite the fact that it was free, it left an uneasy feeling in my stomach as I met up with Geetha and she proceeded to get her own share of Rubio’s.

After that short intermission I proceeded to COMT100 where everybody shared their videos. Mine was okay, and the hallmark of the video was the playing of the epic Simon and Garfunkal classic “The Sound of Silence”. When class was done I saw Paul who said the A.S. funding meeting went well. Looks like things are looking up for Ron Paul club! I proceeded to Geisel afterwards to play The Sims for roughly an hour, before visiting Geetha at her place as she prepared for her speech. I went to price center afterwards to get dinner at none other than Burger King where I ran into Phil. He followed me on over to Geisel as we talked for two hours about random political topics, in the basement, a place that was essentially supposed to be silent. Even an asian guy told us to keep it down as we had engaging conversation. Shortly afterwards Bee-John brought me some milk tea as I ended the night relaxing at Geetha’s place. The end.
