Day 273: New Shoes, New Sunglasses, New Journey

September 30th, 2011
September ends with a variety of new objects as provided for us in today’s picture of the day. After going to EHS in the morning and actually working a legitimate 3 hours, I went to my Polisci class where I saw Tiffany Saw and chatted with her for a bit. When all was said and done, I met up with Bee-John at Price Center, where I went with him to get food at Zanzibar, and then we crashed the ACTA event with Tyler to get some free delicious ice cream. Of course, Bee-John is anti-fun so he didn’t end up eating any ice cream. When he left for Geisel, I picked Geetha up at her place and we joined Bee-John, where the two continued their challenging game of chess. When Bee-John ultimately forfeited, we got onto the 30 and made our way on over to UTC, where it was time to buy some new shoes. It was a challenge as we went from Footlocker to Journeys to Macy’s, but I eventually settled on a beautiful pair of gray Converse at Journeys. Eventually we went to Cotton On where I got a pair of delicious sunglasses and Geetha bought a nice pair of shoes. The next Journey? The toy Store, then Red Robin.

I got a free appetizer in the form of Buffalo Wings as Rashika joined the 3 of us for dinner. We consumed our delicious burgers (and wraps), as Bee-John annoyed our waitress asking her for a ton of different sauces, as well as “double fried” french fries that ended up being too disgusting to eat. Bee-John went home afterwards and so I talked on the phone while the two girls went shopping at various stores. Eventually we bused back to my place, where we played 10 rounds of “Shithead!” with Tyler, with me winning 5 times in a row triumphantly. When all was said and done, I went back to Geetha’s place to chill for the rest of the duration of the night.

News
Rep. Ron Paul is not going to take away your Medicare. That’s what the Republican congressman from Texas told a room full of senior citizens in Concord, N.H. Friday night. “I would try to preserve it,” said Paul at a small assisted living community. Health care was one of the top concerns of those in the room, who asked Paul to explain his view that churches and voluntary institutions could take over the delivery of medicine. Paul said that the solution is not to close everything overnight.
His approach allows letting people who don’t want government health care to get out of the system and write it off their taxes. GOOOOOOOO FUTURE PRESIDENT!!!!
