Day 257: The Worst Day…

September 14th, 2011
Out of all 365 days of my blog, today was probably the worst. I woke up super early in the morning and proceeded to Price Center to chillax and play on the computer. Everything was super empty so I snapped a picture appropriately for my blog. From that point on, it all went downhill. I went to work, basically starving myself the entire day – ate Tapex afterwards (spending money when I really shouldn’t have…), and then went to Student Health. The wait was ridiculously long, and after I was done, I got onto the 201 bus to go home; unfortunately, cops didn’t allow the driver to move down Gilman Drive (past Mandeville). I had no idea what the hold up was, so everybody, including myself, got out of the bus, and I headed back to the bus stop. From that point on, I got onto another bus, and that bus basically made a huge U turn back to its stop (which took 40 minutes). From that point on, traffic cleared and I was on my way home, talking to Viet on the bus. When I got back I made some frozen pizza, talked to Lauren and Cody who visited for a bit, and then did nothing the rest of the day.

History
On this day in 1901, U.S. President William McKinley dies after being shot by a deranged anarchist during the Pan-American Exposition in Buffalo, New York. McKinley won his first Congressional seat at the age of 34 and spent 14 years in the House, becoming known as the leading Republican expert on tariffs. After losing his seat in 1890, McKinley served two terms as governor of Ohio. By 1896, he had emerged as the leading Republican candidate for president, aided by the support of the wealthy Ohio industrialist Mark Hanna. That fall, McKinley defeated his Democratic rival, William Jennings Bryan, by the largest popular margin since the Civil War. AW SO SAD.
News
Hugh Jackman is keen to star in ‘Glee’.The 42-year-old actor – who is known as a lover of musical theatre – would love a star in the all-singing TV show, which has previously guest starred Gwyneth Paltrow and Neil Patrick Harris, even though he has only seen it once. Speaking at the UK premiere of robot boxing movie ‘Reel Steel’ at London’s Empire Leicester Square, Hugh told BANG Showbiz: “I would quite like to appear in ‘Glee’. I’ve seen one episode so yeah, maybe.” EW NO THANKS.

P.S.:
