Day 238: Homemade Pho

August 26th, 2011
It’s day 238 here on Project 365, but also my first day back home in Garden Grove (since the beginning of summer). Unfortunately, I am starting to regret my decision to go home, due to a variety of different reasons. In the morning Lauren and her sister drove me back to Garden Grove graciously (at 7 am). Immediately when I got home I began playing various Facebook games and not really talking to my parents. They gave me some Pho for breakfast, and told me there was no car for me to get a haircut the day. I was a little bummed, so I called my friend Earle to go hang out for a bit. We went to McDonald’s so he could get a big Mac (What I got yesterday), and then went to Fry’s just to look around and explore the store. Being in a food-coma’ed state, he drove me home so he could take an extended nap. While at home I ate lunch, which my mom didn’t bother to make me – but instead made me eat Pho again. Sad. After a couple of hours Earle picked me up again, and unfortunately also picked up Amy so we could all rekindle and bond. It turned out to be a disaster, after a long period of time. We got some delicious boba at Coffee Zone (where I took my picture of the day) before proceeding to Yogurt Land for some frozen yogurt, where Amy and I constantly fought each other the entire time over stupid stuff, eventually resulting in her poking me in the eye, and me getting pissed. At that point I was just frustrated and demanded to go home immediately, which Earle thankfully did. It was kind of fun seeing Earle again, but for the most part, the day was a tread. Hopefully tomorrow gets better in terms of hanging out.

So, I went home, and was waiting for my sister to come home so that we could hang out. In fact, I purposely didn’t make plans with my friends so that we could hang out together. I stayed at home watching Animaniacs in my brother’s room (which used to be my room…. which is the only room with air-conditioning), with my niece and nephews Tracy, Tammy, and Thomas (who were decently behaved today). I think my time at ThinkTogether has taught me how to deal with these kiddies a little better, although they still hate my music choices (Victoria Justice, Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez, etc.). My mommy made some terrible food for dinner, and told me to eat it. When I refused, she gave me some pho, which was a bit satisfying, but also a bit disappointing (since I already had it for breakfast and lunch). The fact that I had to eat it 3 meals in a day is upsetting, but let’s face it – if I was at UCSD, I would probably be eating one meal today. Saddest part of the day was when my sister went home and didn’t even talk to me, instead talking to her friends on the phone all night. I waited, essentially, for nothing. The day was practically a waste, and I hope tomorrow is better.
