At work, I went to lunch period, where the girl who liked the boy (ex-boyfriend) showed me a depressing journal article about her ex and how much she hates him. I was saddened by that, but also saddened by the grammatical inconsistencies that were transparent – no periods for 3 whole pages of text. Her english teacher has failed, sadly. For period 1 film I let the kids in group 3 continue to work on their scripts and storyboards. For period 2 Math I played math pictionary with the group 4 kids, not knowing how well it would turn out, but it turned out fine (except for the fact that they accused each other of cheating and displayed poor sportmanship). One of the girls showed me depressing texts during this period from the boy she liked (the same one at lunch), even though I told her to put her phone away. So sad how attached she gets, but understandable. The group 2 kids I taught film to enjoyed their planning session, one group proposing a funny idea of making “TWITTER: THE MOVIE”.
I went back to campus, and subsequently prepared myself would what would be the most exciting, yet humorous bus ride home ever. I met Lauren at the bus stop, expecting to pick up Howard from his apartment. He called me as he and John Torres were leaving while I was simultaneously on the bus. I told them to run cause I saw them both while on the phone (disturbing every single member of the bus), but they just walked passively. Subsequently, they missed the stop and me and Lauren got off at the Ralph’s one to wait for them. They came five minutes later, and I subsequently called Geetha to prepare her to get on the bus to her place. Me and Lauren got on the bus, joined John Torres and Howard, and went to get Geetha, but she ended up missing the stop. As a result, I got off and waited for her, sending Torrie Bear, Howie Bear, and Lauren Bear on their way. Then me and Geetha took the next bus to my place, subsequently taking three buses for me to finally get home. FUNNY.
Hanging out brought back many nostalgic memories of freshman and sophomore year. With Lauren, me, Howard, John Torres, and Geetha now playing Catan and eating dinner at TapEx & Los Primos, it made for a super pleasant night. We talked, chilled, gossiped, and did a ton of exciting activities. I won yet again, and yet again I almost killed myself eating extra spicy chicken at TapEx. EEEEKKK. When we got back, we talked to Tyler about funny things, before I ultimately walked three of them back to the bus stop, where we encountered a scary homeless guy. I ended the night watching Big Brother 13 (GREAT TWISTS, BUT I HATE EVIL DICK. <24 JEFF& JORDAN THOUGH). Must wake up at 6AM tomorrow. EEK.

| On this day in 1951, Paris, the capital city of France, celebrates turning 2,000 years old. In fact, a few more candles would’ve technically been required on the birthday cake, as the City of Lights was most likely founded around 250 B.C. The history of Paris can be traced back to a Gallic tribe known as the Parisii, who sometime around 250 B.C. settled an island (known today as Ile de la Cite) in the Seine River, which runs through present-day Paris. By 52 B.C., Julius Caesar and the Romans had taken over the area, which eventually became Christianized and known as Lutetia, Latin for “midwater dwelling.” The settlement later spread to both the left and right banks of the Seine and the name Lutetia was replaced with “Paris.” In 987 A.D., Paris became the capital of France. As the city grew, the Left Bank earned a reputation as the intellectual district while the Right Bank became known for business. WHO CARES IF ITS NOT AMERICA. |

| Casey Anthony, who earlier this week was found not guilty of killing her daughter, was sentenced yesterday to four years in jail for lying to investigators but will be released July 17 after getting credit for time served. Her case has riveted much of the country, which became entranced by tales of a duplicitous young mother who was said by prosecutors to be more interested in bar-hopping than caring for her child. It was not immediately clear where Anthony, 25, would go after her release. She lived with her parents in Orange County, in Florida, before her 2008 arrest in connection with the death of her daughter, Caylee Marie, 2, but part of her trial defense was that she had been abused by her father and that her family was dysfunctional.
