May 15th, 2011
After studying the entire day back at my apartment, failing to find anything good to eat at CV, and migrating to Geisel to study (with Geetha), I stopped for an extended study break. It was time for the PAW Banquet of 2011. Last year we went to a Chinese food buffet… this year we went to a Mongolian Beef buffet, which I captured as my picture of the day. I ended up wearing the same “dress shirt” I wore last year, and so did ironically Amul and Tyler. DELICIOUS. As I met everyone at Earl’s Cul-De-Sac we seperated into cars, and proceeded onto our distinct routes. I went with Rachel, Tyler, Matt, and Amul, and we discussed a variety of things including Rezzies drama. When we got to the food place, we filled up our stomachs. How the buffet basically worked was that we went around getting random foods on a bowl, and have the people cook it right in front of us. Unfortunately I got way too much meat and vegetables, that by the time I got to the noodles, I had to overfill my bowl a great amount to get a decent amount. Watching it get cooked and eating it were my two favorite parts of dinner. I talked with everyone there, which included: Jennifer Klage, Lauren, Jake, Rosario, Shirley, Katie, Amy, Julia, Victoria Ha, Matt Diamond, Jonathan Kaslow, Tyler, Amul, Rachel, Alex, Kunal, Brittany, and Emalie. Fun Fun Fun Fun. Everyone got prizes from the PAW co-Chairs and I got an American flag banner subsequently. <24 AMERICA. I went to get seconds, but I only finished half of it. FOOD: 1. JOHN TRAN: 0.
As we proceeded back on campus, I hung out with Alex, Tyler, Amul, Amy, Rosario, Matt, Katie, Julia, Jake, & Lauren as we attempted to figure out what to do at the Cul-De-Sc. Our plans ultimately failed, because when we were about to play cranium half the people decided to leave. Subsequently it ended up being me, Tyler, Amy, Rosario, Matt, Amul, and Lauren playing games: Egyptian War, Bang & Scribblish. I lost Bang early so me and Tyler played some Melee, as we played the funniest game ever – Scribblish. Lots of BSU and lots of Jews somehow got into the pictures. As everyone ran out of energy, the night ultimately came to an end. I washed my face as part of a new daily routine taught to Geetha by me. Hopefully my white heads and black heads disappear, FOREVER.

| On May 15h, 1948, Israel declares independence on May 14, 1948, and one day later the new state of Israel is attacked by Egypt, Syria, Jordan, Lebanon and Iraq which lasted almost a year, a cease fire was declared and temporary borders, known as the Green Line, were instituted. The creation of Israel as an independent state had been rejected by The Arab League from the very beginning. Unfortunately the drama ensues to this present day… |

| Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee announced Saturday that he will not seek the GOP nomination for president in 2012. Huckabee ended speculation that he would run for president during his weekly Fox News Channel show saying, “All the factors say go, but my heart says no. And that’s the decision that I have made.” YAY, more space for Ron Paul to win. |
P.S.:

We played Russian War, not Egyptian War. Egyptian War is a completely different card game–they’re both pretty fun.
