Wiz Khalifa’s hit song is called “Black and Yellow”. My day wasn’t a combination of those two colors, but were instead Green and White – Green because of the UCSD Open House today on campus, and White because I’m white. Duh. After waking up in the morning feeling like P.Eninem, I went straight to the Sustainability Resource Center to help give tours and talk to people visiting the campus for UCSD’s green Openhouse. Basically what the event entails is a whole collection of booths and information all over campus about sustainability efforts occuring all over San Diego. Fun Fun Fun Fun. It was inspiring to see random cars and random booths all over Warren mall as I walked on over the SRC. After giving tours where I wasn’t exactly sure what I was supposed to say with Yu-Ting, she left and I ultimately ended my hours with Sarah and Sylvia. I also saw Louise, a Student Sustainability Collective Intern come to volunteer, and we chatted for a bit cause I had practically nothing else to do. Cindy popped in at one part of the day and I made her take the Own Your Impact pledges. I snapped a picture of one of the booklets in an effort to remember the day.
The rest of the day was more white than anything else. I would order a Burger and Fries at CV, but they were definitely gross so I had to throw them out. I would start some homework, fall asleep, and decided to leave campus to meet with my friend Alexis at the Ralph’s shopping area. I ate at Flame Broiler (yum), while she ate at Chipotle (gross). While there I saw Nick and Sheila and we finalized plans to go to Phil’s on Monday. *Fingers Crossed*. After we played in Ralph’s for a bit, she bought some ice cream, and Brittney picked us up. When we got to her place, I saw Natasha, Megan, and Leah, who I haven’t seen for a while. I talked and gossiped for a while with Brittney and Alexis talking about a wide range of topics which included relationships, among other things. The two decided to get ready for a night out on the town, as they literally spent 3 hours getting ready. I sat there slightly amused at how much effort they were putting into their clothes selection. When they finally finished, we took a crapload of pictures together. Oh, how it reminds me of freshman year! Good times. Brittney dropped me off, and I ended the night with a headache. How did I solve that problem? Easy. By doing homework and sleeping, of course!

| On April 16th, 2007, Student Cho Seung Hui goes on a killing spree at Virginia Tech killing a former girlfriend Emily Hilscher and her next door neighbor Ryan Clark, and then went on to shoot to death 30 other students before taking his own life. So Sad. So Tragic. Worst school shooting since Columbine :(. |

| The House of Representatives passed the Republican leadership’s 2012 budget proposal Friday, approving a blueprint for cutting federal deficits by roughly $4.4 trillion over the next decade while radically overhauling Medicare and Medicaid — two popular entitlement programs long considered politically untouchable. The bill passed 235-193 in a near party-line vote. Every Democrat opposed the measure. The measure, which is bitterly opposed by President Barack Obama, has virtually no chance of clearing the Democratic-controlled Senate. LOL this keeps happening. |
P.S.:
