Day 94: Master Debater

April 4th, 2011

I’m not really a Master Debater, but I titled my blog rightfully so because I thought it would provide a slight amusement to my readers. Anyway, I woke up today, did P90x, and then surfed the Internet ultimately finding out the SunGod Line up. And here it is!

Not too excited about Wiz Khalifa, but both Jimmy Eat World and Mike Posner should be good. I subsequently found out my guardian biography was published online also! [Read here: http://www.ucsdguardian.org/focus/hail-to-the-chief/ ]. It’s a relatively fair publication based on the things I told them subsequently in my phone interview anyway. My California Review article also came out, which I have attached below:

California Review April 2011Okay, enough about me! Let’s talk about my day :). I headed over to Geetha’s place and got ready for the A.S. Presidential Debates with Ryan O’Rear, Alyssa Wing, Jasmine Phillips, and Parminder Sandhu. They were all really nice, and had some of the best public speaking skills. I did not have as great of one, but I was clear on my intentions to bring Glee Cast and puppies to SunGod. Below I have attached a small portion of the debate (the one and only Q&A).

Rashika watched with Geetha for a bit as Geetha snapped a picture of me speaking at the microphone, which I have attached as my picture of the day. As Rashika left, Alex joined her, and as the debate ended, I headed with the both of them to eat lunch at Foodworx, before going to work immediately after. When all was done I headed to my apartment to rest, went to Dina’s cupcake event with Kaslow for literally a minute, went to a PAW Meeting (which was relatively short), found out I got my Sustainability Internship (Yay!), went to Earl’s to get Dinner with Amul (I got microwavable Stir Fry, which was absolutely disgusting), headed back to my apartment to watch Collateral for my Film Studies class, and finished out the night studying for my quiz and doing readings.
