Oh, how good freedom feels. While other people were studying for finals, I spent my entire day in peace. I went to work and got both of my timesheets signed, and was free to spend the entire day however I wanted it. So I went back to my apartment and played YuGiOh for a couple hours. :). In between I would eat lunch with Amul, seeing Brett and chatting with him for a bit. He broke up with his girlfriend, which was pretty sad, but he seems to be handling it relatively fine. I expect to see him much more next quarter to compensate. In an attempt to fullfill my hunger cravings, me and Alex helped drive Lauren to the airport, but before doing so grabbed food at Chick-Fil-A. My first time. YUM! Chick-Fil-A, it takes you to the limitttttttt! On the car ride there and back, I sung Friday.
We picked up Alex, and Matt, and they said they were hungry again, so we went to BJ’s to do so…. everybody ended up ordering Appetizers. I felt like a pig eating a double meal. OH WELL! So did Alex! Yum, Pazookies. After that amazing dinner we all went back to Matt’s place to play two rounds of Clue, and my new extremely likeable boardgame, Scattergories. It requires quite a lot of thinking, but is definitely something worth playing again. Me, Amy, Jasmine, and Angie would spend the remainder of the night watching “Friday” and Glee. It was enjoyable as always watching New Directions win Regionals. I ran into Germaine and said goodbye to her on my way out as well. I left them to go back to my apartment to both pack, blog, chat, and catch up with Amul. Bye Winter Quarter 2011, it’s been nice knowing you! AND GUESS WHAT, IT’S OFFICIALLY FRIDAY! I leave at 8 AM.
| Senator Rand Paul, R-Ky., unveiled today his five-year path to a balanced budget, leaving several federal agencies behind. Among the items on the cutting room floor are the Departments of Education, Energy, Commerce and Housing and Urban Development. “There’s a lot of things in here that everybody could agree to, Republicans and Democrats, but nobody’s leading on the president’s side and on our side we felt we needed to put this forward to get the debate started, at the very least,” the freshman Senator explained at a Capitol Hill press conference this afternoon. The proposal also calls for the repeal of “Obamacare,” but leaves entitlements untouched. “There’s an argument for every federal program up here… Nobody’s coming up here asking me for money that’s not for a good reason. But the alternative is that we get into a point of financial disaster where nobody gets any money,” he said. According to Paul, a Tea Party conservative, the proposal will bring spending to the “historic average since World War II” in just one year. He further claims the budget achieves a $19 billion surplus by FY2016 and will bring all non-military discretionary spending back to FY2008 levels. SMART MAN. | ![]() |

On March 17th, 1931, Nevada Senate voted to legalize all forms of gambling in the state providing the impetus for the growth of Las Vegas . YAY! And thus, everyone goes to Las Vegas on their 21st birthday to do none other than to get massively drunk and blow their life savings away! |
