Because when a head aches, no it don’t ache even. On and off again today, my head has been aching and feeling fine. Other than that though today has been full of varying degrees of nothingness. I woke up, switched to a taking an easy A literature class with Stephanie Jed on tritonlink, worked on a UCSD Cares Ad, did laundry, started my essay, ate chicken strips at CV, continued my essay, went to a PAW meeting where I got free sprinkles (picture of the day – the coconut one was mine ! [bottom right]), finished my essay, made a PAW flyer for the tea event, played some Kingdom of Loathing, and then watched Degrassi. A relatively chill, productive, and rather stable day. And today’s picture is slightly different from Saturday’s in that the box is a 4×3 instead of a 2×2. ;] Unfortunately, I did not do much to celebrate President’s Day other than post a blog post….
| The Republican-controlled House early Saturday approved more than $60 billion in cuts in federal spending for the current fiscal year, less than two weeks before a deadline to fund the government. The House vote, completed just after 4:40 a.m. ET, was 235-189. All 186 Democrats voting were against the bill, and they were joined by 3 Republicans. But all of the cuts are unlikely to be included in the final spending plan for the final seven months of fiscal 2011. Democrats control the Senate, where the House measure heads next, and the Obama administration has indicated it would veto any measure containing all of the House cuts. And thus, people start complaining about the budget cuts to Planned Parenthood. Really though, WHY should it be the government’s jobs to provide clinics to the people to get abortions anyway? It should up to the people to find those services themselves. | ![]() |

On February 21st, African American leader Malcolm X was assassinated while delivering a speech at the Audubon Ballroom in New York City. This is still a completely polarizing figure in American society today. Though I appluad his civil rights movement, I reject his “Black Power” movement. I am much more in line with the Martin Luther King Jr. moderate line of thinking. |
