Day 301: Guess who just turned 21!

October 28th, 2011
Today was my 21st birthday, and despite the fact that the turnout to my birthday dinner wasn’t as huge as last year, it turned out to be a mixed blessing because I got more one and one time with each individual there. In the morning I would get some delicious lunch at Round Table before exploring the vendors down library walk. In the process I saw the beautiful chalk art I made yesterday at Geisel, while also witnessing a terrible protest demanding for free education and redistribution of wealth. Fail. I went to class and talked to Brittney while there, before proceeding home to get ready for the dinner that would ultimately come. I accidentally walked through a tree in the process with a variety of different flakes falling on me, which forced me to shower when I got home immediately. When I was ready, I went ahead to the bus stop where I got on the same bus as Geetha (I waited for 30 minutes), and then we proceeded to explore UTC for an hour. In the process Amul called me and wished me a wonderful birthday, while Geetha and I bumped into Bee-John. He gave me a delicious pair of shoes as we went to the Apple & Toy stores to kill time.

While waiting outside of Red Robin, we began awaiting the arrival of various persons. Tiffany Saw came, but was really sick, so she delivered me a card and went back home to rest. We all went inside as the first arrival was none other than Adam Ratke. He bought me a shot of Petrome. Rashika later joined, and then Julia, who had to leave early for a Halloween party in Irvine. Sid, Henry, and Luke showed up later as they brought some Smirnoff Ice with them in the process (and a terrible Obama card) With Julia’s departure came Tyler’s arrival. And, Tran Tran eventually came giving me a wonderful shirt and a Margarita. When Adam finally decided to leave though, he made the ultimate decision to bring back both Corona, and a thong from Victoria’s Secret as a joke. Ha Ha Ha. My picture of the day is opening up Geetha’s wonderful gift, an HP Touchpad (which took me 10 minutes to open). Anyway, it was nice sitting around everyone as we just chilled. It was not as chaotic as last year where I practically had to move from table to table every 5 minutes. When it was over, Tran and Henry both left, while the rest of us remained to go back to my place. As me, Bee-John, Geetha, and Rashika awaited Sid and Luke’s decision to come back with drinks, Tyler dressed up in a Spartan costume. When they all came back, we played a wonderful game of “1-2-Fuck” (no kidding). The best part was making animal signs while at the same time having to say Ron Paul. YEEEEEEEE. Alex eventually joined us, and Tyler eventually left, as we began playing an amazing game of Loaded Questions: Adult Version. Having not played in a LONG time, I can say that was an epicly entertaining game, complete with G.S.A and A.S.A references (which I will not explain). I realized a small casual party playing boardgames is so much better than a gigantic rager where everyone ends up vomiting and comatose by the end. By the end of the night, I had been done with 10 shots. Still keeping it classy, and still not throwing it up! YEEE ! Thanks to everyone that came.
