Finals are sadly not over yet, but I hurdled through one today. After watching mostly Ron Paul videos in the morning and not studying, I went with Amul to CV to quite possibly have my last meal there. It’s quite bittersweet, both the taste of the food, and the memories I have had there (with the floor family freshman year, and the Douglas 3505 family sophomore year). After this, it was TIME. My First Final, for Americanization of Europe, which wasn’t too bad. After finishing I met up with Geetha at Sixth, where we got free In&Out from Apartment Programming Board. We ran into Cindy subsequently, before heading to Geisel to study. After massive hours of studying, Bee-John finally came, right when I was stressing about my summer job. Turns out, I’m going to stay until Thursday to turn in hiring paperwork…. FUN? And I’m going to have to bus for 39 minutes to the area, and then walk 10-16 minutes to get there. Not too bad for $11/hr. After this fail, we went to the A.S. Pancake Breakfast (me, Geetha, & Bee-John), where we inevitably ran into Tiffany Saw, Gordie, Angela, Ben, & Lauren in line. After getting in, I sat with those respective persons as we chowed away. I took a picture of the screen, which mounted the Save our Libraries campaign: a nice grassroots effort, but too little too late in my opinion. It was funny when somebody asked me if I was the puppy guy… Yes, I am, sadly enough… We ate, and then got seconds, and then I said hi to Vaibhav, Robbie, Scott, Alex, Rosario, Angie, Jasmine, & Amy for a bit, before ultimately leaving. Me, Lauren, and Amul walked back discussing and arguing when malls opened. Sigh. Final at 11:30 AM tomorrow, so gotta sleep early.

| On June 6th, 1944, Dwight D. Eisenhower, commander of Allied Expeditionary Forces in World War II gave the go-ahead for a massive invasion of Europe called Operation Overlord / D-Day by British, Canadian and American forces and a million Allied troops land on the beaches of Normandy in northern France. And subsequently the image remains fresh in our heads… all from Saving Private Ryan. |

| A week after claiming a hacker had posted a lewd photo to his Twitter account, U.S. Rep. Anthony Weiner on Monday apologized for lying about the incident and admitted carrying on inappropriate relationships with several women he’d met online. Weiner, a New York Democrat, said he is not resigning his seat, nor is he planning on separating from his wife. But he said he took “full responsibility” for his actions — both the relationships and for lying about sending the photo last month of his bulging underwear on his Twitter account. SAD TIMES |
