Tuesday! Oddly enough, I spent a majority of my day at work. In actually doing work I went to Hillcrest in the wee hours of the morning to put some room signs into the “Clinical Teaching Facility”. Hence my picture of the day is an area of campus I don’t normally visit, beause it’s roughly a 20-25 minute bus ride away (it’s even father away than Phil’s)! Putting up room signs only really took 1 hour. The bus ride there & back took 45 minutes combined, and a short trip to Jack in the Box in between took about another half hour of my “work shift”. It was really nice, although the weather outside was quite hot. In eating at the Jack in the Box I was a bit nostalgic of my childhood, in which my mommy would buy Jack in the Box for me when I was being a spoiled brat and didn’t want to eat noodles or fried rice. HEH.
When I came back to campus, I went back to EH&S in Pepper Canyon to continue my progress on my Valentine’s Event for PAW (tentative date: February 10th). I printed out and lamented some of my “Valentine’s Day Couples Game”, but I’m not sure if I’m completely happy with the finalized result yet. I guess I’ll have to leave it ultimately up to trial-and-error.
The rest of the day was very bland, to say the least. I went home, took a nap, went to class, then went to Earl’s to get dinner (by then it was 8 PM). I finalized the night studying for a quiz I had on Thursday because I honestly had nothing else to do, and then checked out a slick deal on LivingSocial that allowed for the purchasing of a 20 dollar Amazon Gift Card for only 10 dollars. I bought more than 1 (the limit), so we’ll see what happens….
You could kind of say I spent the entire day alone, but it’s not as if I minded. A sign of independence is the ability to do things alone without feeling lonely, and that just happened today. Of course there are still things I will never want to do alone – which include going to a movie theater alone, going to a restaurant alone (does not include dining hall), or especially – going to Disneyland alone. Who does that! Really.
| After 40 years in the business, ‘Live With Regis and Kelly’ host Regis Philbin is retiring from morning television. The 79-year-old host announced the news on Tuesday’s episode of his hit show, stating that he will leave the program sometime in late summer, although his exact end date has not been specified. “I don’t want to alarm anybody, but this will be my last year on the show,” he said, igniting a chorus of groans from audience members. It’s a shame, I really liked him. He was also great hosting “Who Wants to be a Millionaire”. | ![]() |

On January 18th, 1861, Georgia joined South Carolina, Florida, Mississippi, and Alabama in seceding from the United States. This was a sad day in American history, but if we look at the bright side (and there is one), it’s that if they never had seceded, slavery might be still intact to this present day. By dividing the North and South into free and slave states, it ensured the maintenance of the status quo. In the South’s breaking away from the status quo, it gave birth to Abraham Lincoln’s decisive measures to preserve the Union – and ultimately save America. |
P.S.: If I don’t say this now, I will surely break… As I’m leaving the one I want to take. Well, forgive the urgency, but hurry up and wait. My heart has started to seperate.
