Anti-Nazi Propaganda

Teaching about WW2 in this day and age obviously means bringing up Hitler and the Nazis. For some students—usually the more immature ones—there’s a tendency to treat Nazi imagery lightly, or worse, to unintentionally glorify or idealize the propaganda. Or just to see everything as a joke because they are edge-lords.

Which made it all the more important today that I employed the usage of drawing pads (donated years ago by SoCal Honda) for students to create propaganda. The caveat? It had to be from the Allied perspective, allowing students to create their own anti-Nazi propaganda. To put a more creative spin on it I told students they could embed Pokemon into their propaganda posters in order to make it more interesting.

I think some of them turned out pretty well if you ask me!
