Two years of marriage down, many more to come before death.
This will be our last year of marriage alone as a family of just 2. By this time next year we’ll have a baby boy that will be the new center of the universe.
But I will keep reminding Katherine – that I came first. To never prioritize the baby over me!!!! But in all seriousness, we will do whatever it takes to give our child the best life possible. Without spoiling him. Teaching him many different values in life, but most importantly to be a good person and to try to make a positive impact on the world. He certainly better never get any parent phone call homes from his teachers, that’s for sure!!!
Nobody really has the right formula or magic sauce for parenting. Especially since every child is different. Hopefully our child will turn out special with the best traits from both of us.
I hope as we endure the battles that will be parenthood that we will still embrace time in our life to celebrate our romance and our journey together. Though our journey is about to change forever, I know we’ll still be in each other’s lives long after the baby grows up and eventually “leaves the nest”.
Happy 2 years to the most special person in my life. Forever grateful for our adventures together, and excited for the coming adventures to go.
