Surprise Proposal

March 26th will forever go down in history as being one of the most special days of my life. It was a day a relationship became an engagement, and our love eternally evolved.

I told Katherine we would be going to the Lions Lighthouse in Long Beach to “take pictures” with my sister and her husband. Little did she know I would be there to pop the question. She actually had no idea despite all the hints provided to her, including her cousin doing her makeup a few hours prior, and me buying new clothes for the special event and doing my eyebrows. After turning around on cue, she was caught off guard by my immediate proposal.

The surprise escalated when her cousin and siblings came out from hiding to congratulate her.

The surprise climaxed with a special luncheon when we went to the Old Sphaghetti Factory in Fullerton immediately afterwards, where even more of her friends and family members surprised her. The event? We would all paint a scene of the engagement simultaneously, capturing the special moment forever on canvas. I hope all the friends and family put their paintings somewhere in their house, preferably their bathroom, to remember us every time they’re in there.

Next year will be continuing to celebrate our engagement, and plan for the upcoming wedding that will happen sometime in 2023. Till then, thank you to all who have been supportive through this awesome time!
