This is a guest post from Richard Myers, one of my co-workers at Rise Kohyang Middle School.
I am the mountain.
I don’t care who you are. I’ve been here longer than anyone you know or will ever know. Your training means nothing to be. Your goals are worthless to me. You will respect me. The snow underneath your feet is mine. The lack of oxygen in your lungs is because of me. I can take your life.

If you do respect me, I can show you wonder. Your exertion will be rewarded. The summit I don’t guarantee but life lessons you will gain. Your humbleness will be rewarded. I will take you down to your core. Your wisdom will be rewarded.
I am the mountain.

“There are old mountaineers and bold mountaineers, but there are few old and bold mountaineers” – James Myers
