For the next 26 days, guest bloggers will be writing posts on here about the topic of their choice. Michele Gauthier is the first author.
John did a neat series of blogs on people he appreciates and admires in his life. Therefore, as a guest blogger, I want to do a blog on what I appreciate about John.
I appreciate that after three years of knowing John, we have still stayed in communication with each other. John has a way of being steady in people’s lives. He continues to stay in contact with me and his other friends in Las Vegas, even though he has been out of the state for almost two years.
I also appreciate that John has a strong code of ethics and is so kind. John is always giving (particularly his family, friends, and students). Your service to all of us does not go unnoticed.
I appreciate that John has a good sense of humor. John uplifts people and sees the humor in everything. His jokes are so randomly timed, light hearted, and hilarious. One funny moment was when I first met John. It was at a meet up group and about 7 of us were walking down to the water of Lake Mead. It was very late and, as we got closer to the water, we were walking in a marshy, swap like terrain. John quickly turned the scene into something that could be perceived as scary. One of the members of the group decided to go back to the road and leave the group. John said something like “are you sure?” I don’t think the man heard him and he walked away from the group. John then said “that is how it begins.” I burst into laughter and thought “he has watched one too many scary movies.” Something so simple, he turned into something hilarious. I miss those moments!
My wish for John is to one day get what he desires, his wedding at Phil’s BBQ J. John, one day you will make a great husband and father. In the meantime, you inspire your students everyday and give love to your family and friends just by being yourself.
Thank You 🙂
