Day 3, and the firefighters said there is a potential crack in the tank (which means the possibility of explosion is diminishing, thankfully). We are just playing the waiting game… except in this case the waiting game will determine whether our house explodes or not.
Rather than wait in despair, we decided to avoid the County all together through adventures in Temecula, and subsequently Phil’s BBQ.
Trip 223 was exciting, with just our small family 70 miles away from the blast radius. 
Kai has no idea what is going on, so he thoroughly is enjoying playing in a new environment once more, with some more friends. It’s kind of like a vacation for him in a lot of ways. Grateful for friends that continue to grace us with hospitality and food. 
Trip 224 was also exciting. Even if we don’t have a home, home is essentially wherever Katherine and Kai are. And at least Phil’s BBQ will always be there for us in times of crisis.
