5 years ago, I was a bit uncertain about where my future was headed. At the time, in the midst of the aftermath of the coronavirus pandemic, I was employed at Lynwood Unified School District and engaged in “distance learning”and teaching of special education students at Hosler Middle School. It was interesting to say the very least. Do I regret getting a special education credential? Absolutely not. Not only has it made my teaching better, it “saved” my teaching career at Anaheim Union High School District.

5 Years later, I maintain happy employment in the AUHSD. And I’m hoping that credential will at the end of the day continue to save my career, if rifs (reduction in force) happen to come anytime within the next 10 years.

5 Years later, I unknowingly unintentionally matched with some of my high school students. Oh well, I guess. I told them to NEVER MATCH ME EVER AGAIN.
