Finally, we reach the end of the Chinese Zodiac, and specifically Kai’s zodiac animal: the snake.
Snakes are known for their wisdom. I certainly hope Kai will possess both book and street smarts in the future. As of right now, it’s kind of unpredictable how he’ll turn out.
But obviously, with knowledge and high intelligence comes potential power in the future, and more wealth. So I hope Kat and I give Kai as many opportunities to grow his wisdom in his early years as much as possible.
That’s why we try to (and will continue) reading to Kai every day for the rest of his life. I also will make sure to squeeze in library adventures either weekly or bi-weekly so he can appreciate reading growing up – a lost art to many students and people all over the world (including me unfortunately).
Here’s hoping for more adventures outside of home to ensure he continues to grow. One such adventure today was going to Irvine Park for a friend’s birthday. Though it was exceedingly hot, he did quite well and didn’t cry much. So props to him.
Future adventures = future hangouts = future wisdom for Kai for today and to last a lifetime.
