When I was a kid, I thought adults had all the answers.

I had the utmost respect for most adults, including of course the teachers that guided me throughout the couse of high school and college.

Upon reaching adulthood* myself I realized that adults really don’t have things completely figured out. In fact, many of them are just making it up as they go along.

Maybe this is just something that has to do my generation, but the wisdom of previous generations seemed a bit grander. But perhaps kids look at me the same way, thinking that I have my life figured out. I guess on the surface it would seem that I’m well put together with career, house, and of course now a family of my own.

I hope my adulthood translates into continuing to be the best parent and husband I can possibly be.
