Went to Shabuya today for the first time since the pandemic of 2020. It’s an all you can eat hot pot location. We were stuffed by the end of it. Although, it was probably mostly soup that was in my stomach bubbling around. Unfortunately, the food quality isn’t quite nearly the same as before, and the price obviously has been inflated as a result.

Which brings to the forefront things that will never be the same as a result of coronavirus, namely:
- The closure of Souplantation forever, a delicious and “healthy” option for patrons in the past
- The loss of Costco’s “supreme” pizza. A delicious specialty pizza with a fantastic combination of vegetables to make my mouth water.
- Planet Fitness has not given free pizza since the pandemic. And I bet you they won’t bring it back, despite taking my $10 every month. Sadness
- School District enrollment is in decline ever since “distance learning” took place. I imagine a lot of parents took their kids out of schools and never came back.
And yet a few things remain constant, namely:
- My love for Katherine
- The delicious taste of Phil’s BBQ
As long as those things still exist, there is still some joy in the world after all.
