Flashback to the time in 2017 when I went to Brunelleschi’s dome.

Standing tall and majestic over the city of Florence, Italy, Brunelleschi’s Dome is a testament to the genius of Renaissance architecture and engineering. It is considered one of the greatest feats of engineering ever constructed during the Renaissance time period. There’s quite a bit of science and engineering that goes into making such a building possible (especially in a time before computers), but that’s what makes it all the more remarkable.
Someday, I’ll go back to Europe. A lot of the buildings end up looking the same after a while though. How many cathedrals can you really look at before getting bored?! The dome stood out due to its unique shape, and I enjoyed treking up the 463 steps inside the Duomo, as out of shape as I was at the time.

Europe again someday. But Asia is next for out of country travel.
